Natural protection against ticks and fleas
Electric properties of amber
Baltic amber is fossilised resin of coniferous trees from Scandinavian region from about 44 million years old. Amber has the property of charging electrically in case of friction. We know this under the phenomenon 'static electricity'. This property was discovered by the ancient Greeks, who even call amber' electron'.
How does the amber collar work?
When wearing the amber collar, your cat or dog will electrically charge the chain by rubbing it’s fur along it. Your dog will not notice anything of the generated static electricity, but for the fleas and ticks it is much more difficult to find a grip on your pet's hair.
Release of odour
The rough amber spreads a resin-like odour when being rubbed, which does not seem to be very attractive for flees and ticks. This collar is a good natural alternative in the fight against pests.
