This set consists of a Plesiosaur tooth, a Spinosaur tooth and a Mosasaur tooth. With these teeth you will get a colourful leaflet with pictures of the dinosaurs .
A sharp tooth of the largest predator that ever lived on land. The Spinosaurus could grow until 15 meters long! That is 3 meters longer than the T-rex. Recent research has shown that the Spinosaurus was also a good swimmer, which would explain the enormous sail on the back of the animal.
The most typical of the Plesiosaurus sea creature is it’s long neck and the four limbs that often formed a kind of fins. The head was relatively small in relation to the rest of the body. The teeth of the Plesiosaurus are thin and pointy and were therefore ideal for catching slippery sea creatures.
The Mosasaur was a Saurian who lived during the late cretaceous in the oceans. The first fossil remains of the Mosasaurs were found near Maastricht. The Mosasaur is named after the Meuse. The teeth of a Mosasaur are thick and pointy, so he could bite through armored sea animals. Ammonites were therefore not safe for the Mosasaur.
