Fossil from Lebanon
This fossil Carpopenaeus shrimp is a whopping 100 million years old and was found in Hgula, Byblos Lebanon. This place is known for its beautiful fossilized fish prints. But these are certainly not the only sea creatures found here.
The female shrimp kept the fertilized eggs between the swimming legs where they clung to until they hatched.
