Ruby in zoisite is a natural combination of red ruby in green zoisite. Another name for this stone is 'anyolite' derived from the Masai word 'Anyoli' which means green. Ruby in zoisite was discovered in the Longido mining area in northeast Tanzania by Tom Blevins, an English gold digger. To this day Tanzania is the only place in the world where this stone can be found.
