Teeth of a real dinosaur
The Mosasaur is a saurian that lived in the late Cretaceous (71.3 to 65.4 million years ago) in the seas. The first fossil remains of Mosasaur were found near Maastricht. The Mosasaur is named after the river. This tooth was found in the phosphate mines in Morocco.
These marine reptiles were among the largest of their kind and grew up to 18 meters long! The photos are enlarged to show detail. In the last picture is a ruler for the actual size of the tooth. These pendants are a couple of centimeters in length.
