What is nuummite?
Nuummite is a rare metamorphic rock discovered in Greenland and named after the area of Nuuk. Nuummite was discovered in 1810 by mineralogist Giesecke. It was not until 100 years later that the stone was scientifically defined.
Nuummite from India
Also in India a type of stone has been found that is very similar to the Nuummite from Greenland. Its composition is formed by the minerals anorthite and albite, with the enstatite crystals giving it a coppery lustre.
Nuummite has strong ties with wild nature and natural energies. Especially in urban areas, the stone can help to find back the connection with nature. In the spiritual world, nuummite is used in healings, divination and soul retrieval. The stone forms a protective shield around the aura and cuts through negative connections.
