An aura crystal is a quartz crystal with a colored tint. This is obtained by treating the crystal with a gold infusion. This is done in a vacuum chamber at a temperature of 871°C. Gold vapor is added to the chamber and the atoms fuse together with the surface of the crystal for a beautiful iridescent metallic sheen.
