Wonderful Seymchan pallasite meteorite.
The Seymchan meteorite was first found in 1967 in Magadam Russia. Initially it was thought that it was an iron meteorite. However, it appeared from later finds that about 20% of the meteorite olivine containing crystals, so that the meteorite can be classified as pallasite (stone-iron). In these pieces, the olivine crystals clearly visible in the nickel-iron casing.
Of rare beauty
These pieces are then cut and polished to reflect the particular structure. Pallasites are very rare, less than 1% of all meteorites fall into this class. These meteorites are very sought after by collectors because of its rarity and beautiful appearance.
All offered meteorites are treated against corrosion but must be kept with care. Preferably, an environment with a low humidity. All the pieces are shipped in a box with foam layer. Size and weight are shown in the photos.
