Blue sapphire crystals
Sapphire belongs to the corundum family just like Ruby. It is after diamond the hardest mineral on earth.
Sapphire is mostly known by its blue color. However, all corundum minerals that do not have a red color (Red corundum is called Ruby) is seen as sapphires. Therefore There are also yellow, pink, violet and green sapphires. The sapphires on this page are light blue in color.
History of sapphire
Sapphires have already been found in Sri Lanka since the ancient times. It was claimed that the sapphire granted strength, honor and immortality to the owner.
