What is Howlite?
Howlite is a naturally white stone with grey veins. The stone was first found in Windsor, Nova Scottia in Canada in 1886 by chemist Henry How. Despite Henry first giving the stone a different name, it was renamed Howlite in shortly after.
Characteristics of howlite
Crystal formation is rare in howlite. The stone is best known for its white appearance and grey veins that appear to form a kind of web. Because of its porous structure and low hardness, howlite is very popular for making jewellery or figurines, and the stone can easily be dyed to imitate stones such as turquoise.
Howlite is a pleasantly calming stone that helps release stress, anxiety and old emotional pains. The stone teaches you to be patient and see perspective. It is a powerful cleanser for clearing negative energy and thus connecting ourselves in higher life goals
