Brandberg Massif
The Brandberg mountain lies in the northwest of the Namib Desert in the Erongo region in Namibia. It is a gigantic massif with a surface area of 650 km2. The highest point is the Königstein at 2,573 metres above sea level. The name means 'burning mountain' because of the colour the mountain can take on in the setting sun, as if it were on fire.
