Caribbean blue calcite is a mix between ocean blue calcite and beach brown aragonite. Together they form a combination that is reminiscent of the Caribbean beaches. A logical name for the combination of these two polymorphic minerals. Caribbean blue calcite was discovered in Pakistan in 2019.
Imperfect stone type
Calcite is a weathered stone, so it can contain cavities, cracks and irregularities. This has no negative effect on the effect, it reflects the unique character of the stone.
Until now, the only source of Carribean blue calcite is managed by a number of families in Pakistan who process the stones into spheres and towers. The total amount is unclear and it is quite possible that it will remain very limited.
