The Maas Lizard
The Mosasaurus is a saurian that inhabited the seas in the late Cretaceous (71.3-65.4 mln years ago). The first fossil remains of the Mosasaurus were found near Maastricht. The Mosasaurus is therefore named after the Maas and is also called Maas lizard in Dutch. This tooth was found in the phosphate mines in Morocco.
